ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider the approval of a Task Order for the Valve Location and Condition Assessment to Paragon Consulting Group in the amount of $293,330.00 for the Water and Waste Water Department of the Public Works and Utilities Department. Director of Public Works and Utilities Department Brant D. Keller will address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

As part of the City of Griffin's Non-Revenue Water Loss and Demand Management Area Zones, it is necessary to locate, GPS and assess the water valves in the water distribution system. Many of the valves are over 80 years old and need replacing. This mapping and assessment of the valves will provide a system-wide picture of the condition and costs to repair, rehabilitate or replace.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Budgeted in FY2015-2016 account 505-4440-52-1200 $295,000.00. Amount of this TOF is $293,330.00.
