Consider the award of a contract, Section 319(h) FY14 Grant - Element 12 "A.Z. Kelsey Avenue Ecosystem Restoration Project" from the Georgia EPD Nonpoint Source Program in the amount of $817,000.00 for the Stormwater Utility Department of the Public Works and Utilities Department. The City of Griffin has been awarded a 319(h) Grant from the NPDES program. This is a matching grant and the City of Griffin's seventh. The grant award is $384,000 and the City's match is $433,000 for a complete grant totaling $817,000. The grant will allow for stream bank restoration and culvert replacement in the Cabin Creek basin.
Staff recommends approval.
This is a budgeted grant for FY2014-2015 -- 505-4333-54-1400 in the amount of $300,000 and CP2015-52204-1 in the amount of 206,325 for a total budget between these two line items of $506,325. The difference between the two amounts ($506,325 and $433,000) is $73,325 and this amount will be used for construction management. Federal funds to the City total $384,000. |
