ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider the approval of the 2015 Chemical Annual Bid in the amount of $544,485.93 to eleven (11) vendors for the Water and Wastewater Department of the Public Works and Utilities Department. Director of the Public Works and Utilities Department Brant D. Keller will address.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Each year the City of Griffin solicits its annual chemical bid. This year's chemicals will be purchased from Chemtrade, Allied Universal, CedarChem, Univar, USA, Burnett Lime, Sterling Water Technologies, F2 Industries, Carus Chemical, Evoqua Water Technologies and Brenn-Tagg. See attached information for specifics.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Chemicals have been budgeted in FY2015-2016 Budget for Potato Creek WWTP, Shoal Creek WWTP, Cabin Creek WWTP, Harry Simmons WTP and Still Branch WTP.
