ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider approval to amend the City of Griffin's General Fund Fiscal Year 2014-2015 Operating and Capital Budget in the amount of $2,210.00 for fireworks compliance and safety (Enforcement Officials Fireworks Training Program) as previously approved on  April 28, 2015. Chief Financial Officer Markus Schwab will address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

As approved on April 28, 2015, Seminar was held by the American Pyrotechnics Association on Wednesday,13 May, 2015 at the University of Georgia, Griffin Campus.  All metro Atlanta and EMC member agencies were invited, as well as a statewide invitation to all Georgia fire departments.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The resolution and budget amendment appropriates $2,210.00 to expenditure for training costs; $1,200.00 to revenue in Contributions & Donations; and the remainder $1,010.00 from Office of the Fire Chief.
