ITEM SUMMARY:

Request approval for the acceptance of the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) from the Department of Justice in the amount of $15,876.00 for the purchase of in-car cameras for the Police Department.  Police Chief Steven Heaton will address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Upon Commission approval, and public review as required by the 2014 Local JAG Program, the grant #2014-DJ-BX-0952 will be used for the purchase of in-car camera equipment for Police Department vehicles.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff Recommends Approval

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

There is not a match required with the JAG grant. No impact on the City budget.
