Consider a request to amend the Unified Development Code, of the City of Griffin, Article 12, Section 1213B (9), Historic Character Signs. Toussaint Kirk, Director of Planning and Development to address.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

The purpose of the ordinance amendment is to include the “Killed in Action” plaques as a permitted sign under the Historic Character Signs in the Unified Development Code (UDC) Article 12, section 1213B (9). The intial plaque design was approved by the Historic Preservation Commission based on size and style.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.
