ITEM SUMMARY:

Consider approval to accept a donation of $10,155.50 from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and amend the budget accordingly for the purchase of a Thermal Imaging Camera.   Fire Chief Tommy Jones will address. Approved unanimously on motion/second by Commissioners McCord/McLemore.


SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS OR CONCERNS:

Thermal imaging cameras allow firefighters to locate victims in smoke-filled environments and locate 'hot-spots' after fires are extinguished. 

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

Staff recommends approval.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

The resolution and budget amendment appropriates $10,155.50 to Contributions and Donations revenue and Capital Outlay expenditure in Fire Suppression.
